As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations the European School of Oncology (ESO) organised a unique event on 26th October, that gave journalists the opportunity to question leading researchers, clinicians, patient advocates and industry leaders about how they intend to meet the key challenges in cancer care today.
Media Forum Programme
The Forum included four sessions:
Have we lost the plot in our quest to find cancer cures?
Is rationing expensive cancer drugs the answer to spiralling health care spending?
Are we rewarding mediocrity while penalising real innovation in cancer research?
Can tumour gene profiling live up to expectations?
Each session was moderated by internationally-renowned journalists including:
